What is the diversity going to be like at the NCS? I would love for my kids to be around as many diverse groups without being the minority or the majority. I definately want to check out the orientation on the 15th. I hope they will show the plan for the school. I drove by it yesterday and was not impressed but I do know that they have months to renovate and alot can be done in that time. But it was just a little hard to see what it will be like. Their website does not tell a whole lot about anything, just charter schools in general. I would love to see THEIR plan.
Where is it located, exactly? Oops, sorry, just noticed the location button on the web site. So it's at the corner of Green & Noble. Is that the old Harrison High location? It would be great to put that back into service!
pausane did a good job answering the questions about the school. Yes, it is the old Harrison campus. It is exciting to be able to put that space back to use, it needs a lot of sprucing up, but it will happen.
What do you mean by THEIR plan? What kinds of specifics are you looking for? I could find answers to these questions, but I am not sure what it is. Also please feel free to email ncsinfo@neusecharterschool.org you will get a prompt reply.
The diversity of the student population will reflect the diversity of those who apply to the school. Students are chosen by a lottery system. You can't get in if you don't apply.
