OK; Where will new HS be ??

This is already done in Clayton, and it has been this way for many years. Don't know about the Cleveland area schools.

 

yep, start times are staggered in Cleveland School, as well.

WJHS is a 2 story and has an elevator since the subject is high schools.

 

WHEN is this new high school supposed to open? Did WJHS have seniors pulled from other schools the first year they were open, or did the seniors get to stay at their school?

 

Seniors were not brought in the first yr. Usually they don't force seniors to move. The new school is not supposed to open til 2011.

My son started West his sophomore yr (went to South freshman yr). That first yr, that school was empty! There were classrooms that weren't even used, parking lot was empty... its was nice, but kinda weird too. Only about 60 kids in the band, now this upcoming yr 07-08, we have over 200!!

Glad my daughter will be outta there in 2 more yrs, its so crowded, its crazy!!

 

Agh! That'll make my youngest a junior and he'll have to move to the new school! Ugh...he is so looking forward to being in the band, too...Hmmm ...maybe we can get Britt & company to move with us <evil laugh!>

 

Well, until we know where the new school will be, you don't know if you'll have to move or not. Plus, if the county doesn't have to provide the trans (bus) they might allow him to stay put, would he be driving by then?

Yea, band has been fun, its tough on them, but most of them feel its worth it!

 

When my son was transfered from South to West, he was going into his junior year. They didn't even have a senior class the first year West opened.
