That's what I do as well just talked to my sister in Germany about the same thing,there it's almost considered a sacrilege to throw out that poor tree before January 6th.

 

I was going to ask this as well. It gives off such a pretty light that I hate to see it go...and besides, we still have gifts under it that won't be given until the 7th... but I continue to ask myself do I really want to leave it up that that long..

 

Mine is coming down tomorrow, would have come down today, but I am still a little under the weather and couldn't quite manage it. I'm sick of looking at it and it went up later than usual this year. It just crowds my dining room too much. Looking for a skinnier tree next year. I still have some gifts that need to be given out, but it's just too bad, LOL.
