whats wrong with snakes... I have 4 and they are given up for adoption as well as cats and dogs and need good homes... I have a Red Tail Boa 2 Ball Pythons and a Brazilian Rainbow Boa...
Nothing wrong with 'em Tassy, I'm just sayin', I'm not a snake person. Some people don't like cats, I don't like snakes. To each their own I guess, lol......
I rescue poisonous spiders. They make good pets and I let them crawl all over me. They are fuzzy and warm
How did Guest post? Webmaster, How did this get posted? The message appears from user name Guest, but there is no one with that user name. And I thought, to post in any forum, you have to be registered.
They were registered but not any more! Webbie took care of their screen name and that's why it says guest.
Notice the similarity to the "are you still beating your wife?" attack? Make a statement with a negative assumption as if it were actually truthful and no matter what the answer may it the target must look worse for it .... I suppose there is some proof of the puppies and kittens being fed to snakes in the first place, which was accidentally left off the post. Could that mistake be related to "guest" still beating their spouse?
Yes, there are witnesses who say that employees have fed puppies and kittens to a large snake at the shelter. They said that they got rid of the snake, but they had two of them at the open house. Sick, sick, sick. Are they proud of it or what???? Taxpayers do not need to fund this cruelty. This shelter belongs to all the citizens of Johnston County. It is not there for employees to entertain themselves in such a sick manner, while we pay their salaries with our TAXES.
Were the pups alive or dead when they were feed to the snake? That may swing your point one way or the other. If they were feed live that could be cruelty for both the carnivore (yes, snakes eat meat in most cases) and the meal. Most folks will kill the meal before feeding it to the snake to protect the snake from bites. If they were feeding them protein that would otherwise go to the landfill, I would say “More Power To Them”. A side thought, would these dead animals be wasted if they were chemically injected? What are the environmental aspects/impacts to chemical injection?
If they are killed by injection they cannot be fed to anything or used in any food production but must either be placed in a landfill, burned, or used in educational training.
What kills me is a thread about an open house at a shelter that is making efforts to make changes that will benefit both the animals and humans in our community is hit with negative comments with no basis for fact. Why is it that folks have to find the negative about things? Why do you want to make things look bad? Can't you look for the little bit of good and nourish it so that it will become something better? People who get so darn negative try to drain the good out of everything. Take a deep breath and see the joy once in a while, it is good for the soul. Thanks Webbie for going out and covering this event. I wish I could have gotten by there.
 Get over it. You can keep changing your screen name, but old news is just that. Do something pro-active, not reactive. Trying to beat down others will never bring you up in this world.
