Plane Crash near McCalls?

WRAL reported about 3 weeks ago that they have plans to reopen in May. I think the investigation inhibited the beginning of the repair process and they could not start until the final reports were completed.

 

In addition, the last report I read (not sure where) quoted the owner stating that they originally thought that there wasn't much damage in the kitchen area, but later found out that ductwork and such above the drop ceiling was a loss. There is more work to be done that the original estimate, and therefore it is taking longer. Last time I drove by, I did see that the front exterior had finally been repaired.

I have a hard time believing they wouldn't reopen eventually. That place was busy all week long, lunch and dinner. Anything is possible of course.

 

I hope they do....I never got to eat there and I heard it was good. :mrgreen:

That's disappointing. My family got takeout from them pretty regularly. I didn't care for the buffet, but I liked their seafood. We've been looking forward to their re-opening, so I hate to hear that they may not be back.

 

I think you read it wrong, the quote just says that they are taking longer to re-open than anticipated due to having to replace all the duct work about the drop ceiling in the kitchen. It doesn't say, they aren't re-opening.

I just went by there today, and they were working their fingers to the bone....and the sign was still there....so they are opening....just a matter of when!
