I'm not a green thumb (I can kill a silk plant) but is this a type of sumac???

 

You know, the tree probably is a China Berry tree. I have tons of them at the back of the lot, but didn't think about it yesterday. We always called them chaney ball trees too because that is what my granny called them. I was over 20 years old before I realized it was china berry. My brother used to get on top of the smokehouse and pelt us with them relentlessly! Now, my boys do that to each other (minus the smokehouse). That would violate our covenants!:jester:
