Agreed Ken. Neither the time or place. Thanks for your descretion. Another day perhaps. Didn't realize it but the young girl that died lives 4-5 houses up the street. My 14 YO had word in the early afternoon that Alyssa was still fighting. Haven't heard an update in about 3-4 hours.
At last word, Alyssa was still fighting. She hasn't given up, and neither should we. Any word on the other girl, Melissa Willis? How's she doing? Let's keep this prayer chain going, folks - now more than ever. Alyssa's mother said something to me yesterday that really got me thinking. She said, "When you pray, are you expecting?" I'm expecting. I'm expecting that miracle. I'm expecting Alyssa to pull through. Let's ALL expect that miracle together. Boo
hey everyone. i went to the WJHS memorial thing for emily tonight because i knew her && alyssa heider. unfourtunately i didnt get to know melissa before this accident. but i have come to understand that she is a wonderful person. THE MEMORIAL okay. tonight at the candlelight memorial for Emily Shwe Mya, there was her boyfriend [Da'Von Smith], her father && mother, family, friends, && even some people that didnt know her but had some way of connection to her. everywhere you looked there was T-shirts for RIP Emily, && we love you. && will always remember you. The Volleyball team that she belonged to also wore green [her favorite color] The whole night was very solemn && sad. After the football game, few people brought flowers for the family, && mostly everyone brought candles. There was beautiful music played && a few words spoken from mother && father. but yet there was only a few. Everyone gathered in a circle to remember Emily && candles were lit. After that, Pastor Matt Fry from C3 church lead prayer for Alyssa && Melissa. You deffinitly need to keep Alyssa in your prayers tonight && tomorrow because there is a test being run tomorrow && if it shows that she is brain dead, then they will take her off of life support. Me && Alyssa knew each other for a while && were not BEST friends, but we were friends. && i would really appriciate it if you guys would keep her in your prayers tonight because the hospital released that the only thing keeping her alive is the life support. if they take her off, shes gone. Now i keep hearing everyone blame this whole thing on Melissa[the driver] Investigators have shown that its not completely her fault. She DID stop at the stop sign but the weeds beside her make it extremely difficult to see long distance. so she saw no cars. when the car got into the second lane, the car was struck by a white pickup truck. Therefore. it is not all her fault. && if the state believes this, Melissa will not be put up against charges of Involuntary Manslaughter for Emily Mya, && if alyssa does not survive, the charges for her too. So please keep Melissa in your prayers. she doesnt even know that emily is dead or that alyssa is slipping from grip. Imagine when she finds out. Alyssa could be dead by then. So keep Alyssa && Melissa in your prayers && since melissa is expected to live, please pray VERY HARD for alyssa because i know i will since she was my friend. The Current Conditions Alyssa Heider-Alyssa is in a coma still, but the family has just received the results from the Flow Test. There is blood flow through the brain however with the amount of pressure that is still on her brain, the flow will decrease over time. They have decided that they will run another test tomorrow morning to see if it has progressively slowed down. While the flow test carried good news they were also told that the medical equipment that is being used is now sustaining Alyssa's life. While God can still give us a miracle, the medical field has reached an impass and does not give much hope for Alyssa to pull through. Please, continue the prayers for that miracle that we are so hoping is in God's will! Melissa Willis-Melissa is currently in a coma also. We are not hearing as much on Melissa as we are on Alyssa because Melissa is in better condition. Melissa does infact have a case of nemonia though. Melissa still has no clue that her friend Emily has died or that Alyssa is dying. By telling her it would increase emotional distress because of the charges that possibly are pending against her, which would not benefit her wellness to come. i will try to keep you updated on anything else that i find out since i am really close to this situation. DONT FORGET TO PRAY FOR ALYSSA && MELISSA! they are in DEEP need of prayer. EXPECIALLY ALYSSA!
I could not sleep last nite with the news of Alyssa going thru my head. My daughter had Mrs. Heider for a teacher is 8th grade and 12th grade and I have the most wonderful picture of my daughter and Mrs. Heider at the SR. Prom in April. Such fantastic people to have such tragedy to deal with. My heart goes out to all of them. I am praying very hard for everyone.
Alyssa's brain pressure has continued to rise throughout the evening and night. The pressure was approximately 70 at 7:30pm last night. Please continue to pray for her and the family, they need the prayers and the strength continue on as they fight this battle. at 1:48 when they checked yesterday it was 40. so its getting WAAAAY worse. 30% worse. && yes. so KEEP PRAYING FOR HER! b/c this isnt looking so bright for her.
:shock: OMG, I am so sad also :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: I really hoped she would have made it. Now this whole last week will be relived this week as everyone waits for funeral services for Alyssa. I just hope that something positive comes out of all this.
I got to see Alyssa today, and say my goodbyes. She looked so peaceful. :cry: Please continue to pray for Lyssa's parents, Yvette and Keith...as well as her big sister Dani, and for Lyssa's boyfriend - who never left her side throughout this whole ordeal. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for Lyssa and her family. It truly meant something to the family, and will continue to do so. Lyssa, we miss you and will always love you. Remember, God always picks the prettiest flowers... Boo
how terrible...what beautiful girls they were... I can't imagine when the girl who was driving finds out. :cry:
I don't personally know any of these folks, but my heartfelt sympathy & prayers goes out to all of them, I can't imagine what they are all going through. :cry:
