Actually kansacon, my neighbors know about the chickens....we've even given them eggs before. Would you like for me to give you the number to PETA?

Ya know, I actually did think about you at 5:45 this morning when we went out there. I just wasn't sure how to keep him "fresh" as hot as it's gonna be today and he certainly wasn't going in my freezer!!!

If neither trap worked, I am curious how you caught him.... or do I NOT want to know!?

You probably don't want to know. I'll just say we caught him leaving the chicken coop when we walked down there this morning. We're still gonna set the traps for a few more nights to just see if there are any more.

Actually a guy at work this morning told me that he wants one if I catch any. Who knew so many people liked raccoon?

Texas Pete- I just knew there was something about you Cleo!

You know what? I went to Texas a couple years ago and couldn't find no Texas Pete; only Tobascy Sauce. Come to find out it is made in NC. I sure wish they'd change the name to NC Pete.

    -end rant

I used to go into that T.W. Garner Food plant in Winston-Salem years ago. They also make jellies and jams under the name Garner. Good stuff, they all always loaded me up with jelly and Texas Pete when I go in for a service call. Funny thing is the Garner brothers that started the plant wanted to name the hot sauce "Mexican Joe", but their dad wouldn't have it. He said were Americans not Mexicans...lol. Here is a link that is an interesting read about the company and its history.
