Raining, it's pouring.......

0.4 inches from 6 am Thursday to 6 am today (Fri), so 1.5 inches total.

 

My hubby said that so far we've received a total of 3 inches at house over the past few days!

 

Correct. A lake could have hundreds or thousands of acres of watershed flowing into it. That could mean 1" of rain over x # acres = 1' rise in lake level.

 

love the rain, but it does make it hard to get out of bed in the mornings

 

It has been so long since we had rain that I had just about forgotten how bad 2 long-haired dogs smell after they have been in the rain. YUCK!!!

Woooo Hooo - We had over 5'' of rain in 3+ days. Most soaked into the ground here.

DM got nearly 5'' in Garner (Heather Hills area)

 

I think we've gotten about 5 inches over here near Archer Lodge too. Just checked our impromtu rain gauge in the back yard. Woo Hoo! The Neuse River was up quite a bit yesterday, haven't been out to see it today yet.
