Thanks for keeping this thread alive for so long. The Red Cross just dropped my company from their schedule due to lack of participation mostly due to lay offs so I'm looking for a new place. If you haven't done this before and are able to I urge you to give it a shot. I figure this is another case where it is way better to give than receive and I can put up with a little discomfort for a really good cause. As an aside, I used to get faint or nauseous giving blood but then someone tipped me off to drinking H20 before donating (duh-whole blood's #1 constituent, go figure...) and it made a world of difference.
Le Bump again. FIL had to have 6+ pints of Blood and a number of Blood plasma units over the last 6 weeks. Please Donate People.
It's that time again... YES AGAIN! MONDAY Dec. 13, 2010 same time same place but I think they will be INSIDE the CHURCH Fellowship Hall Not in the Bus. Come on It's Christmas ~~ Give a Little!
Chemotherapy last year. I was told by my oncologist I had to wait 6 months, but the Red Cross said a year. I was 16 days short. :x I shoulda kept my mouth shut. Silly me, always one to play by the rules.
A Big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to give (or tried to give). Next date will be in FEB. 2011. Monday 2/14, I think!!
Monday 14 Feb at (behind) Oakland Presbyterian Church at the intersection of Cleveland School Rd. and Matthews Rd, near DR Wells store? I'll do my best to be there, and THANK YOU for the reminder!
YES, that's the place!!! Not sure if the RED CROSS will bring the Blood Bus or just set up inside the Church's Fellowship Hall.
