Im sure its been stated on here before, but I forget.

Which project is about to start on NC 50 between 42 and 210 it looks? They put up road construction signs last week all up and down it.

Milling and resurfacing. It's actually NC 50 from the Wake County line all the way down to US 301.

The resurfacing taking place on 50 has damaged many of the loop detectors. Instead of the traffic lights changing when cars approach the intersection and skipping parts of the cycle that aren't needed, these lights are now cycling based on timing only, and go through the full cycle (for example, protected left turns even when nobody is waiting to turn left).

Though I'm sure NC DOT and the resurfacing contractor are aware of it, it couldn't hurt to send an email to NC DOT to make them aware of how many people it's inconveniencing.
