How do you know the cat does not answer verbal commands? How do you know the cat was not in his/her sight? The cat was on his owner's property. The dog was not. Case closed. Call and ask Ernie Wilkinson, Director Johnston County Animal Services 919-934-8474 The squirrel has nothing to do with Artis' post - that is a red herring.
No, I saw where you started to villify the cats and deflect all attention off of the attack dog thus making the thread become the total opposite of what the OP intended.
Just -- WOW. Now I remember why I stopped coming out here. So, it would seem nobody knows the owner of the dog -- fine, that's all I really wanted to know! Thanks anyway. FWIW, the cat in question was lying in the front yard less than 10 feet away from the steps to the front door enjoying the night air with me. He came outside with me, walked with me, and stayed close by the entire time we were outside that night. Furthermore, he came back into the house when called and there he stayed for the duration night and much of the next day. So, for the sake of this thread -- the cat was well within his rights to be where he was and yes, he was under my control until he freaked out due to a 200 pound monster bearing down on him for a snack (at that point, to be clear, he WAS out of control for a few minutes but he never left our front porch).
The squirrels got together and hired the rottie as muscle to attack the cat for past wrongs perpetrated by the cat. :jester:
I do not, but the probability is it does not. How do you know it does to claim there is no violation if the cat is off the property. People do not have eyes in the back of their heads. If you will take your assumption off what was stated, the statement was concernign the cat leaving the property, not whether the dog or the cat was at fault in that situation. :? I was not commenting on Artis' post until it was dragged into what was said. Maybe you should read the intial posts again.
You are free to believe whatever you wish, but that was not the case until the Peanut Gallery arrived. I merely restated the point of one post and because I made the statement the whole gang, including yourself had to tell me I was wrong. Well, you can start proving it if you want to continue.
your accusations of this cat running wild, which has no facts Wayne, which last I knew you live and die by FACTS... you ranted on and accused based on NOTHING....
Wayne I hate to say it but its enjoyable seeing you kibbying around on this one like a fish laying on the ground.:lol::lol::lol:
Please feel free to quote where I wrongly claimed the cat was not in the direct control of the owner other than what was stated in the posts and the situation presented in the post to which I initially replied ...if you can.
So, you have gotten in over your head yet again and now cannot back up your lies? When you learn to recognize the truth befire it bites your leg you may have a chance in a discussion.
I'm gonna give ya'll a :grouphug: even if you don't want one! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
Here? Where you thought just because the cat was outside not on a leash it was not under the owner's control? <Thought to self.. I hope Wayne is sleeping>
Yes, in the context ot the post to which I was discussing Artis would be in violation. It seems you are talking about something else, which is not uncommon.
Still kibbying around I see.... for someone who is a self proclaimed wizard and know it all you sure are off your rocker on this one,,, damn if ignorance isn't coming into play here. Ohhh my sweet justice at its best.
