Oh, there is alot of Santa in Xmas but not in CHRISTmas. Dude...you have wayyyy to much time on your hands.
I believe in Santa, and I tell my 8 yr old, and anyone else for that matter, that when you stop believing, he stops coming. It is fun to think of Santa bringing presents on Christmas, and the excitement on the kids faces when they see the presents, or when they see Santa at the mall. It's the innocence of imagination. On the flip side, I do teach my children the true meaning of Christmas. We read Luke 2:8-20 every Christmas Eve to the kids. Throughout the season, we are talking about what Christmas is supposed to be about. I think there can be a balance of both things. But, I also believe it is each persons right to teach their children what they believe.
Santa doesn't visit those who don't believe. At least that's what my Momma always said. I'm with you - Yes, there IS a Santa Clause
Definitely a believer (if you didn't already figure that out). I do find it interesting that, at the time of this posting, the believers out number the non-believers (18 yes - 15 no). But even if the numbers swing the other way, it still says a lot that there are at least (again, at the time of this posting) 18 believers. I also find it interesting that, for some reason, the non-believers seem to find fault in the believers for believing, but the those who believe don't feel that way toward those who don't believe.
Know what? That magic can prevent reigndeer from bursting into flames? Or that there are some people with no imagination who insist on using pseudo-science to rain on every one else's parade?
With the Department of Homeland Security and their wonderful Tax dollars Standing Around, there is no way he can any longer meet these specifications
Ahhhhh, but it is not magic, although any science which is sufficiently advanced will appear to be magic. Santa is so dense his gavitational pull warps the fabric of space and time much like that of a black hole which allows his to "fold space" or create worm holes from one point to another allowing instantaneous transport. Of course Willy Wonka has loaned him the Umpah Lumpahs to help out in a pinch ...
