LOL!! I had a lady tell me "now, that's what I'm talking bout" at Wally world last weekend. She overheard me telling DS that if he didn't quit I was gonna kick his ***. Yes I talk to my son that way .... so if you're offended just move on.....

I did too but did not get spanked in schools. Schools on base just call the dad's commanding officer and when we finally landed in one place for me to go to high school and the principal was going to spank me for infraction I asked him to call my dad. Dad showed and took me home to admonish me. Still don't believe that another adult should touch someone else's child.

Even today, if my dad calls me by my full given name I cringe.

AHHHH!!!! The joys of motherhood!

I had to pick up a baby gift off a registry at Target last night. Good grief! DS is only 9, but half that stuff in there, I had NO idea what it was. I wandered around for 30 minutes til I finally found a couple things. I am SO glad it ain't me!

Nope, we shop where items are a bargain for the price. Of the sports my child does not one child carries an extra set of clothing just for swimming or track. They may have different shoes but the shirts and jeans they wore to school is what they wear to practice or if it is hot they'll wear shorts. With all the other items they carry for swimming another set of clothing for dry land would tip the scale.
