I was a big Remington Steele fan as well and thought the same thing. The only reason that Brosnan did not take the role when they picked Dalton was because he had a contract for the RS TV show and could not get out of it to do the Bond films or he would have. I always thought he would make a good Bond and he did. I was just surpised he gave up the the role so quickly.

It does look like Daniel Craig will do a good job of it, though. Still have not seen the flick, yet.

Given the second sentence, what do you base your first sentence on?

Jesus, Clif....get off the high horse.

Have you ever heard of film previews?

    Please, just Clif will do.

Yes I have. On the other hand, I've also heard the admonishment saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover." Basically that's exactly what you're doing.

I've seen the previews as well. Thought it might be worth a shot so, unlike you, I did see the movie. As usual, the previews don't give the complete picture.

    Michael Caine
    Hugh Laurie
    John Cleese

I am sorry, but after Rockey Horror, I would always picture Tim in a shiney gown.

Yeah, but did you see him in Clue? He was quite suave and debonaire.

    Nope, never saw the movie.

I would have liked to have seen Michael in the role, I have seen him in an action flick in the past. I don't know who this other Hugh is  and can't picture John in that role.

Well, saw the flick tonight. It was a pretty good movie, but didnt have the feel of a James Bond movie. They could have done...Tom Smith 006 and it would have been better for me. The movie kept reminding me of the 2 Transporter movies, but I guess that is the new direction in action hero flicks. Over all a good movie tho. I might be able to get used to the new Bond if he follows it up with a strong 2nd Bond role. His 1st try at it was all action, and little Bond.

Saw the movie last night. I thought it was very good and Daniel Craig did a fantastic job. I cried when he rolled the Aston Martin DB8, though......
