And I am agreeing with you. The static trait is to obey the law. The BEHAVIOR that should be rewarded is turning in those who would try to circumvent the law.

    Just like you said earlier:
These stores got their reward by not having their liquor license taken away.

    I don't believe I said that.

The early release program does not reward good behavior, it punishes bad behavior by forcing the convict to complete his (or her) sentence.

Clif, I normally agree with you on things like this, but I think you have a blind spot on this one.

I have been in "penalty box"

Unfortunately I have been unable to respond to negative comments about my post. I was suspended/banned for inappropriate language. It was deserved and I am sorry for the slip of the fingers in typing a response. It will not happen again.
In any event I will reward the businesses that refused to sell to minors in this most recent sting operation by purchasing my beer, gas, etc. at these stores. And when doing so I will thank (commend) management for hiring honest employees and abiding by our laws.

Welcome back, Pooh, you silly ol' bear.

Your plan makes sense to me. As for the discussion going on in this thread, I will not continue to argue the principles of behavior with some one who does not even understand what a behavior is. I'll just make a humble suggestion to anyone willing to listen.

If you have a child who follows your rules or does a chore without having to be told, take 5 seconds to smile, pat him or her on the back, and say, "Good job." Your little investment in them will pay off big time.

And if your dog goes outside to pee rather than peeing on your carpet, scratch him or her behind the ear while saying, "good dog." You won't regret your actions.

Take the time to recognize good behavior, don't ignore it. You'll be glad you did.

    Snuff
