I noticed while out today that the DOT finally went and put brine down on Polenta. First time in the 10 years I have lived here I guess its cause of the high school even though they are closed for the holidays

Where are you? It's not doing a thing at my house. I'm near Old Fairground/Mt. Pleasant Rd.

We just came home and as we headed out of downtown Clayton towards Amelia Church Rd. there was a definite change from a wet sleet mix to some light snow.

We woke up to a lot here in Archer Lodge and it is still coming down strong! Our power has flickered a couple of times this morning. Hope it stays on! Be safe and enjoy the snow!! I'm gonna stay in and eat 15 bean soup and enjoy my stash from Total Wine.

So far it is melting away fairly quickly. Hopefully the roads will be dry enough to re-freeze tonight.

The Triangle and surrounding areas could see snow

Raleigh, N.C. — The Triangle and surrounding areas could see snow three times during the next seven days, but don't go out and buy a snow shovel just yet.
