No snow in your area? My great grandmother used to live in Leadville and she just loved it. Will take pics and Post tomorrow.

My house smells like BBQ chicken. I'm actually making a Weight Watcher's recipe called Cola Chicken. Easy as pie!

Take 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts and put in a skillet
    Add 1 cup of ketchup
Add 1 12oz. can of diet coke

Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and cook for 45 minutes.

Smells soooo good and tastes even better!

How long did your great grandma live here? Wow it is a small world. Okay we don't have FRESH snow in fact what we got has been melting, but my backyard has plenty. It will probably dump again before the weekend. In the meantime I am enjoy the sunshine and warmth.

30 degrees is a lot warmer at 10,200 ft.

I don't know about McGee's, but the last time we got some good accumulation the neighborhood kids scoped out the area & used our driveway! That was my sign that I was not going to work that day....or the next.

She and other family members lived there for about fifteen years. My great uncle had a store way back when and they always talked fondly of that place. It really is a small world.

Enjoy that sunshine knowing that we are getting ready to have mucho snow.

    Snow

    Snow is white,
    Snow is bright,
    Snow falls down every night,
    When we are in bed,
    Resting our heads,
    Snow falls down,
    Round and round,
And it doesnt make a sound.

I'm from MA KDs and I absolutely relate... people here keep me off the roads during snow. I'm more afraid of their cockiness in it than my own ability. I used to drive my rear-wheel drive sportscar (stick-5spd) to work in a foot of snow. Once I got a feel for playing the clutch and the gas against the slide, knowing when not to hit the brakes and how it would react when accelerating.. I only got stuck one time and it was because I tried to get out of the way of an oncoming snowplow on a narrow curve. I will be the first to admit here though, that the ice is a bigger factor, and there isn't much way to be safe about driving on that... its just luck if you get where you're going.

Everyone please be careful, safe and use common sense if you have to be out on the roads tomorrow.

Where is the snow? I thought it was supposed to be snowing by 9:00 PM. Is this a hoax?

It is suppose to start around midnight as liquid and then the temperature will begin dropping later and that is when the snow is suppose to start. I image this is the reason for no school tomorrow. Would not want to get the buses on the road in the mist of it all. From what I hear from friends that are teachers. Thursday and Friday were set aside to use as snow days if needed. Either way it is best to be safe.
