Intro Gonna try to keep this short. I've lived in NC for three years. Have lived all over the place throughout the midwest and wanted to put down roots. My wife's always dreamed of coming back to NC to live, since she grew up in Sanford, so we settled here in Johnston county because it was important to me that I be able to raise my boys in a rural environment. I'm a preachers kid (but not religious, although I could preach to ya if I wanted to) and all my family come from the Appalachian mountains of eastern Kentucky. I was raised about 30 miles from Hazard. I grew up on farms, chasing cattle, riding horses, and working the fields. I love the south, NC, and JoCo. I love the people, food, culture, and weather. I feel at home here. It's not KY, but it's damn close. If you see a dude in a cowboy hat driving a truck and wavin at ya as we pass on the road, it's probably me, cause that's what neighbors do. Not many of y'all wave back though. I have BA in philosophy, a Masters in Library and Information Science, and work as an IT manager in a large academic library. Two boys, 7 & 11. Married for 15 years been together 19. I like people and think most are basically good. Hate tailgaters (ride my *** on 40 & see what happens)and am frustrated by folks who only view things in "either/or" terms. My friends started calling me Wicked when I was 19. It's a play on part of my name and being a PK, but it stuck.
I wanna respond. I've been a long time lurker of 40/42. I'm from princeton/pine level area of joco. lived in cali for 3 years.. moved back to clayton and been here for the last year and a half or so. i work in garner.. im a geek and work with medical imaging software... the hubby works for wake county's finest. i have 2 rugrats.. 3 yr old boy and 5 yr old girl.. 30 yr old husband/kid. :banghead: and 2 doggies.. a mastiff and a mutt. I barely have time to breath but in my free time i love taking the jeep out or just sitting down. .lol. I'm always on the go so any time i have to be lazy, i freaking enjoy the hell out of it. We bought a house last yr off jack rd so that's interesting. It would be kinda cool to find a couple or 2 to hang out with with kids our kids' ages. :hurray: im done. lol
