Tams, I'm sure the person that started this topic HAS A LIFE!! BUT, this is a message board and some people think that gives them the right to respond in a hateful way!!!!!!!!! I am also against all the growth. Not because I do not want others to enjoy living here. I've been here six years and love it. Let's face it, the schools are bursting at the seams and the county can't keep up. So, it all boils down to the almighty $$$$$$$. There is no stopping people like Ashley Turner. BUT, there is a word to explain it!! It's GREED. I personally wish he and others like him would give Johnston county a rest. Just sit back and enjoy their money for awhile. Face it, there is little quality in the homes being built in this area. He and others like him just throw them up!! I'm afraid to think what the homes are going to look like in a few years. It's already not a pretty picture in some of the older neighborhoods. I'm blessed that my sister and I live on acreage. My house is six years old. No real quality but I don't think the subs know what quality is. They have thrown homes up for so long because they have worked for the Ashley Turners and others. It takes time to build a quality home. Time is money!! So, there is the answer. The smaller quality builder cannot survive. Therefore we're losing them.Enough said!! very well put I agree !!! If it keeps going like this its gonna be like Newyork and if I wanna live like a yankee I would move up there!! And before anyone gets on their high horse and defends yankees if its so Great there why yall coming down here?
