    Can't have more people, more stores, more houses, more schools, more WalMarts, etc. without more trash. It has to go somewhere and existing landfills are where they are (in most cases) because it is a rural, low impact area. Expansion is probably a good idea considering the growth in the 9 county area. There are actually two landfills in that general area from what I can tell (another one due West operated by Waste Industries). I-540 will come through that area as well and may help your truck traffic situation although I doubt trash trucks are going to pay tolls. Anything undesirable in your back yard stinks! Good luck!
