Actually...wrong again...I have never had a problem with the school, any school, that my kids have attended. I've never even had a problem with any of their teachers. I do, however, currently have a problem with a situation at one of their schools, that not only will effect my child but many others. So I'm doing as the other poster suggested...going from step one, to step two, and now with no response/acknowledgement via email, once given a fair amount of time to address the situation of which they are well aware...may have to escalate to a "code orange" Don't think I'm doing anything many parents haven't done, or wouldn't do if they felt they needed to in order to protect their child.
Exactly, some utilize it - some don't. The first thing I do at Orientation is introduce myself, point out my phone number and email addy on the paperwork and ask "What's the best way to stay in touch with you and keep up with what isgoing on in your class?" I guess I'm not such a techno-snob and feel like teachers have enough going on without having to update a freaking website on top of calling, emailing, writing, planning, teaching, etc.
yes, i check the teachers web pages , subscribe to them - and frequent the schools , counties, and ptso/pta's websites . When you have middle schoolers sometimes you have search for the answers to your ?'s - most of the time with a little investigation you can get the answers you need w/ out having to make a call!
It's probably to have them removed from some database so that Duke TIP, the Beta Society, and P2P don't come calling.
Does anyone know how to check their lunch money account balance online? Our teacher's webpage recommends that we check their balance regularly to make sure they don't run out of money, but I can't figure out how to check her balance. Thanks!
Unless something has changed I am not aware of, you can't do it online in JC. They send a letter home with DS once a week, or did last year. They could save a ton of trees if we could look it up online.
Hmm...the exact line on her website (which was updated this week) is "PLEASE be sure to check your child's lunch account balance daily!" I wonder how I'm supposed to check her account balance daily? Last year I just sent a check for $200 whenever her balance got low, but now we don't have the money for me to be writing that kind of check anymore. And we got stuck with money in there over the summer, which would have been nice to have had.
Dunno.................maybe something has changed and I missed it? I usually send in $25 every other week or so and so far have had no issues. I am planning to pack his lunch more this year though.
There is no online checkpoint for lunch balance's. I would love it if there were, and even better, if we could put money in there too, electronically. In Elementary School, I always got a statement on Friday's with the balance. Now they are in Middle School, they don't send squat. But a 6th grader doesn't usually forget but once, to tell their Mom the account's empty. Going hungry for a day is a good reminder.
Awww...I'm sorry....thought you might see the humor in it, but after reading your three posts in a row...guess not! My bad! :jester:
Now you need to change your location to "right behind momof3grls". Then I'll change mine to "behind Cleo behind momof3grls"
