Thanksgiving Day Dinner - Sponsored by Northside Community Church

We are a relatively new church located in Knightdale, NC with one of our major focuses being on community outreach. To that end, we sponsored a Thanksgiving Day meal at the Circus Family Restaurant on Wake Forest Road last November. We received some donations from area businesses and grocery stores, but a large majority of what was served came from donations from the church body. Between the individuals who received a free plate of food and the plates of food we delivered to families in waiting rooms at area hospitals, over 300 plates of food were distributed. We would not accept any donations from individuals in an effort to convey that the folks we served were cared about – with no strings attached. We are in the planning stages for a Thanksgiving Day event again this year. Our hope is to provide enough food to feed 400+ people. Whether its people who come to the restaurant or individuals who have food delivered to them, we want to make sure no one in Raleigh is left out or left alone this Thanksgiving. The free Thanksgiving Day meal will include turkey and dressing, corn, green beans, mashed potatoes, dessert and tea, water or coffee. We will begin serving at 11:00 am until the food is gone. The Circus Family Restaurant is located at 1600 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. The restaurant’s phone number is 834-2213. If you have any questions or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact Glenn Mitchell at the Circus Restaurant or myself at the church office. **The time is from 11am - until the food runs out!

Thanks nsanemom... Lots of info.. Really appreciate it.

Now to try and sit down and see if we can get everyone to agree on where to eat and where to go. That will be a miracle in itself if that happens. :)
