That's a lot of house for that price. What's wrong with it? The neighborhood?

Hmm.....I might have to go take a looksee....

Nevermind...it's in the wrong district for schools...

My house is for sale also, in the Chadbourne s/d. It's 3600 sf, 4 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, a theater room upstairs, huge master bath, kitchen is incredible, fenced in backyard. Lots of landscaping around, including privacy trees and/or plants all around. Schools: West View Elem, Cleveland Middle, West Johnston High. Only 1 mile from new Lowes Foods!

Also, I'm searching desperately for land, at least 2 acres, without a house (unless it's an old fixer upper or trailer that can be moved) in WEST VIEW OR CLEVELAND ELEMENTARY DISTRICTS ONLY!

DMJ, your house sounds AWESOME!!!! Why do you want to leave that? I'm just kidding, yes that was a nosy question...sorry. But it does sound really nice!!

Shar - We love the house, and the neighborhood is very nice. We just want more land for our kids to run on! We can't let them play in the driveway because it's so close to the road, and they can't practice soccer in the backyard like they want to because it's so small. Everyone (except me!) wants a dog, but not one that doesn't have room to run around on. My hubby built the house 2 years ago, and it has a ton of "extras and upgrades" and it really is probably the nicest house we'll ever live in. But it's also very big, and I'm tired of having to keep up with it all! Our next house will be a smaller 2500-2800 sf.

    K. I thought that you did on the other thread, I'm a neighbor over there and I'm tired of seeing the for sale sign :? It's kinda funny, we just put a big addition on our house and people coming to visit us are like....you just put this addition on...now your moving???? Nope, not us...

We'd love 17 acres, but that land just isn't what we wanted, and we can't afford it anyway. We can spend up to $125,000 for land, but they want $300,000. I'd love to have about 5 acres, but just can't find it around here! If anyone can find me some land like what I'm looking for in the right school districts, I'd be willing to pay them a finders fee!!

We also weren't crazy about having the other house that close to us, just because you never know who they'd be, and you'd have to be pretty friendly to be that close and share a driveway!

The only problem know of is the current residents  I'll just say none of the neighbors will be sad to see them go :)

Now they have not done anything with the pool in two years so no telling what condition it is in.

I went to look at a house recently and the person was there. I thought that was weird and it made me feel uncomfortable.

If I am looking at a FSBO, I expect the owner to be there. Otherwise, I would not feel comfortable taking my time to look through the house. We sold two houses FSBO and even then we'd go out in the yard so the couple could look and talk about their likes/dislikes without having to worry about offending us.

Unless my reading comprehension skills are failing me again, I've used my context clues to determine that FSBO means for sale by owner. The house I looked at was not FSBO. It was listed with a realtor, and the realtor was angry that the person was there.

Loriana - I was agreeing with you hun. My post was just extending the conversation a bit further to say I personally expect the owner to be there only if it is a FSBO.

I believe that's what helped us SELL our house. Their realtor had pink eye and wanted us to show them around - that was fine anyway, we knew EVERYTHING about the house and were able to answer ALL of their questions right there on the spot. WE negotiated that day in the kitchen without their realtor present. Got what we wanted for the house, they moved in a week and 1/2 later - worked out good for us.

now, if I can just make a billion $$ and get back to jo co. I'd be happy! :hurray:
