Well, well, well. WB, grits. You were being asked about a few weeks ago. What happened to ya?

As for the new forum, seems ok to me. Like you, Harley, I have a huge aversion to change. (That should be kinda funny about right now huh, HG?!)

I've learned how to do the full WYSIWYG version to get smilies etc, and change the font. Gotta have my colored font ;) !

I'm getting used to the new look, re: the names on top. Reserving my opinion until I get used to it completely tho. I'll probably play a lot in the next few weeks when I'm by myself at night.

Love the member status, teehee. Hey webbie, suggestion...maybe those in the top 10 or 20 post-ers be designated as some-other-type-of-member instead of Senior Member....like Professional Post-er or something :-D  .

Ignore lists are to filter out people that pretty much add nothing to a thread. I think you are an excellent example.

Dern, I thought I had added you to the ignore list also. Will fix that directly.

If you ignore everyone you disagrees with, who would you converse with?

    Actually, it would be....

If you ignore everyone with whom you disagree, then with whom would you converse?"

Sorry, Clif. Had too many papers in the last few years and got nailed on my sentence structure/grammar pretty hard ;) .

Guess i am lucky, i cannot think of a single person i would want to put on an ignore list. i am interested in everyone's opinions. If their opinion is different than my own, it just gives me more to consider.

Is there any way to set the system so it doesn't log you out so quick if you don't post? i usually keep it up in the background and post when i can and it wasn't a problem with the old system. Now it seems i have to resign on each time i go a bit without posting:confused:

  11. Sorry, I'm behind on this topic. But I also want to know where are the smilies that we were able to use on the old forum? Am I just not looking hard enough or what? Thanks!

    Hey Mis~

Go to "UserCP" and change your options. Then you can use the smilies!

Ok, another question. Is there anyway to activate the "read private message" option. On the old board we could tell when someone had picked up a message, on this new board i have not been able to figure that out. Anyone have an answer?

Don't know the answer for you Kaci. I can tell you that, ever since the forum change-over, I can read PMs, but cannot respond or create a PM. It crashes my computer every time!

Hey webbie....LOVE the button that lets me go to the first unread msg in the thread. It saves me SO much time. TY!

    Here's the 411! 8)

When you send a new private message, you may have the option to request a read-receipt for that message. (That option is located at the bottom of the message screen...below the SEND/PREVIEW buttons.) This will allow you to check whether or not a message has been read by its recipient by viewing the Private Message Tracking page.

This page is divided into two sections: unread messages and read messages.

The unread messages section shows all messages that you have sent with a read-receipt request, that have not yet been read by their recipient.

The read messages section shows all messages you have sent with a receipt request that have been read and acknowledged by their recipient. The time that the message was read is also shown.

You may choose to end the tracking on any message you choose by selecting the message and clicking the [end tracking] button.
When you receive a message with a read-receipt request, you may have the option to read the message while denying the read-receipt request. To do this, simply click the 'deny receipt' link rather than the title of the message, if it appears.
