The lady on the phone was very nice and giving her my card number couldn't have been easier. She did tell me the family is requesting addresses so they can send out thank you cards but i told her that was not necessary, i am sure they have enough to deal with without have to write all those cards. She did say she had several responses from 4042 and they were very grateful.
I know Cape Fear Valley does things at their hospital. My Mom works with them and some other elderly ladies to make the buriel clothes, hats, etc. for the people that can't afford to purchase these items.
THANK YOU! (helping with funeral) I just wanted to thank everyone for all you have done to help and the prayers. I am christy I have read some of the post I had no idea this was on here I have used the classifieds to ask for help. I am very greatful to those who have posted and helped spread the word. I just wanted to give some more info. to anyone who had questions. I was able to order a head stone today. I still need $225.00 to finish paying for it. I am trying to set up an account for the baby still in the hospital. I would like to be able to raise $2000.00 for a savings in memory of Brian. I am trying for this amount because this is what it has taken for all the arrangments so far. I am not expecting anything to happen but I want to know that there is money set aside for him. This money will not be touched unless something was to go wrong (pray that it don't) or untill he is 18. It will be set up in memory of his twin. I am also trying to get gas cards to help the father get back and forth from work to the hospital, wal-mart or food lion cards even gift cards to fast food to help out while working or just to be able to step away and get a bit to eat. The funeral home has done so much for us. They are working with me alot and said that they will apply payments as they come in. Any money that is received after the funeral and headstone are paid will go to the savings, and to help mom & dad. If you would like to specify were you want a donation to go I will make sure that is what is done with it. I do not want anyone to think I am using any donations for anything other than what I have said. I can verify the savings and you could send gift cards. I am just trying to take all the stress and worry off of mom & dad at this point. I am the main contact and cousin of the mom. $1100 does not inclued headstone The $1100 does not inclued the headstone. The headstone is $695.00 plus $75.00 fee to have a headstone at cemetary. I am also trying to get donations for a savings account for Dakota in memory of Brian. Anyone who would like to donate to it can make check payable to: memory fund for Brian and mail to 410 powell street smithfield nc 27577. That is my adress this is the only way I can do it without giving out the acoount number. The bank said this is how most people set it up its to much of a risk to just give out the account number. I will deposit all checks iton this account this is the only account I will be able to deposit it into when made out payable to memory fund for brian. gas cards or anyother donations can also be sent my adress. mom and dad are between clinton, greenville and I don't want to take a chance of it getting lost or taken from mail box.
