Please say a prayer for my best friends sister. She was 5 weeks ahead of me, and delivered a premie at 24 weeks today. So far, so good. The baby girl is thriving, and fighting for life, but the first 72 hours are crucial.
How scary! I will definitely keep them in my prayers. My nephew was born at 28 weeks and it was defnitely a scary time. He made it through with no health problems, but he sure was tiny! He weighed 3 lbs when he was born, which was big for his age then. He's a big bad 7 year old now! How much did her little girl weigh?
She only weighed 1 pound and 7 ounces. I haven't seen her, but my BF said she was probably about 10 inches long. The good news is that they were able to intibate her, which is apparently half the battle with premies. Her color is good and she's fighting, but it's still a very critical time for them.
Oh My! I hear these case of babies being born early like that and I think... dear Lord I ain't no where ready for this little kickboxer RIGHT NOW! Thoughts and prayers for sure! :wink: keep us updated!

yes, getting pretty miserable! The ladies in the front office are laughing at me waddle up to them. This whole week I haven't been able to sleep good. I ain't waking up having to go potty... I am waking up with a rambling mind and the craziest dreams. Man I hate mind game dreams! :evil: They seem so real!!!
You're having those dreams too? OMG! This week has been awful, the dreams are just nuts. Add to that that I wake up scratching like I've got fleas and have to go potty at least once during the night and you've got yourself a not so restful sleep! Ugh girl, I feel ya! Oh, and Kaci, thanks for asking. She is actually doing great. She won't be out of the woods for months, but she is a little fighter and is being very strong. To give you an idea of how tiny she is, they put her Daddy's wedding band around her little wrist like a bracelet!
