Jennifer, your pregnancy is going by sooooooooooooo fast! Seems like just yesterday that blus spilled the beans. Hope you enjoy these last few weeks of sleep!
Sleep? I'm supposed to be getting sleep? Well someone forgot to tell my bladder that! Seriously, I sleep no more than about 2 hours at a time before I have to get up and go to the bathroom. And when I get up, I wake up DH (who could hear a cat fart in the middle of the night). So neither one of us has slept more than 4 straight hours (and we were grateful for those) at one time, in weeks! I jokingly told my DH that this was probably just nature's way of preparing us for the impending birth of this baby, lol... And you know, it does seem like this whole year has gone by rather quickly......
Oh boy, this sure brings back memories. I'm SOOOOOO glad that I'm past my baby having days! Now watch me get pregnant because I said that. I think you're right though, the inability to sleep at the end of our pregnancies is probably God's way of getting us ready for that screaming little person He is blessing us with. All 4 of mine were sleeping through the night, in their own cribs, by 6 weeks of age, so it wasn't really that bad... even though I felt like I was going to die at the time. I don't handle sleep deprivation well.
MM was sleeping through the night at a month old, as long as she was in the bed with me, lol... I'm going tonight to look at a bassinet (I wanted a co-sleeper, but dang, have you seen the prices on those things??) in Apex that some lady has for sale. My plan is to put the bassinet in our room until I am confortable enough to let her sleep in her crib all the way across the house, lol.
Jen, when you said you were going to see that woman about possibly buying a bassinett, the hair on the back of my neck stood up. You wouldn't go to her house alone would you? I know you've heard of these stories, and I know you're too smart to fall for it, but let me just remind you that there are crazy people out there that will lure late-term pregnant women to their homes so they can get a baby. Take hubby with you!
Oh gee thanks Ready, now I'm scared to go! No, DH has school and I have a meeting at church at 7, so I was gonna swing by her house on the way to church. Grr.... Great, now I'm all paranoid.
Hey Jen... I have a jenny lynn (sp?) bassinett you can have. It isn't a co-sleeper but it's free. Kookoo puff has been sleeping in her bed since day one. I just skipped the whole bassinett thing. PS got the bedding to it too... it's cream colored. Call me
Koo koo, you are a dollbaby!!! Thank you so very much! Free is always welcome at my house! Will call you to arrange a pick up! LOL Oh, and welcome back, give that sweet little baby a kiss from me!
LOL ....just thinking.... ... I remember , with my first born, I was praying for a way to get out of going to church, then my water broke.
My doctor and I had a slight disagreement today.... I told him I was further along than he says I am, he said it didn't matter, he wasn't changing my due date, lol.... And he reminded me that unless we were under very extreme circumstances, he would not be inducing my labor for any reason because I am attempting a VBAC. Dang Doctors, they go to medical school and think they know everything, lol..... Oh, and I gained another 3 pounds, but I don't wanna talk about it..........again.........

One more week Mrs. Koo... One more week Mrs. Koo... One more week Mrs. Koo... THAT'S WHAT YOU SAID 3 WEEKS AGO!! Ok... two more weeks then Mrs. Koo...
