Congrats! Melynda!!! I'm so happy for you! And I know what you mean about telling the kids and how they look forward to the baby. I remember telling my son we were having a baby. ( we didnt' wait as long as you have) And he went on and on about how my belly will get big. And he loved my big belly once it did get big. LOL And speaking of getting big... Jen you make me sick with how little you have gained. I gained a total of 65lbs....which was better than I did last time. AND now you can hate me.... I only have 5 more to go to be back to my pre-preggo weight.
Wow!!! Congrats!!! I wish I had done the same the 1st time around. As I mentioned before - I gained 60+ pounds with my son 7 years ago and was still hanging on to almost 30 of those pounds when I got pregnant this time. I hope I can be like Jen and gain very little - but if I can't manage, I hope I will be as successful as you have been at loosing the weight. I will be a little more determined this time because the baby is due right before bathing suit season.
If I keep eating like a horse y'all aren't gonna be jealous of me anymore, lol... I'm gaining now on average 1.5 lbs per week and I'm eating enough for two grown men, lol..... Oh well, such is life... On another note, if you're looking for cheap nursing bras, I just bought 3 on ebay, brand new with tags for $14.98, which included shipping!!!! Awesome deal!
teeheehee....hang in there hon. Not much longer to go now. You know, those TheraPatch thingies at Walgreens do wonders for my back. You leave them on and they don't get too hot, so prob no danger for the baby. {hugs} Frogger
Hmm, your dollar off coupon got me to thinking....... There are 3200 registered users on 4042.com If half of them were to all give me a dollar, that would be $1600. That would pay for a pregnancy massage per week till I deliver, a car seat/stroller combo from Babies R Us, and a mortgage payment..... Whadda ya think? LOL I'm gonna create a website....givejenniferadollar.com LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Ticking along.........and you know, I really shouldn't complain, but I'm gonna.... I've been very lucky, no sickness, no real heartburn, no big weight gains, etc... But I do not remember signing up for the back pain! The doctor pretty much says that I'm all belly, and that anyone's tummy that sticks out 3 feet in front of them is gonna have back pain, but dang! So today I am thankful for Tylenol and Hot Tubs! LOL Anyone want to donate a pregnancy massage to me?
Ok.......... So two weeks ago when I went to the Dr., I told him I thought I was further along than they thought. Oh no, Jennifer, you're right on track, blah blah blah.... So hows about today, I insist that I am bigger than I should be (gained another pound for a total of 16) and the Dr. I see today says Yeah Jennifer, you're measuring kinda big, let's do an ultrasound..... How's about this baby already weighs almost 6 and a half pounds??? And I have 6 weeks to go??? Are you freaking kidding me??? And the ultrasound tech proceeds to tell me that at this point, they really don't change due dates because the early ultrasounds are more accurate. I must just be destined to have a big baby, and her guess would be that at 40 weeks, I'd be looking at at least a 10 pounder. Thank you very much Ms Ultrasound lady, you sure made me feel a whole lot better...........
Wow - you have a 6lb baby already ... and you've only gained 16 pounds. My guess is that you'll be below your prepregnancy weight before you leave the hospital - with a really, really healthy baby. Sorry, that vbac you were talking about isn't sounding like such a good idea any more. I was hoping to have a vbac myself - but not if baby ends up being a 10 pounder
Yeah - what LJK said Best Wishes. It sounds like you've done a wonderful job taking care of yourself so far. I'm sure all will go well
I'm gonna start walking daily, today!! Anyone have a lawnmower I can come ride on for a few hours every week? LOL
I know of a couple of women that were told they were having big babies based on ultrasound measurements. Docs pressured them into c-sections due to their "large" babies, only for them to wind up having babies that were a couple of pounds LESS than the ultrasound predicited (and normal sized 7 - 8 pounders). Moral of the story... don't rely on ultrasounds for finding out your baby's weight, they're not always accurate and you might wind up with an unnecessary c-section!
Ok seriously, I've had about enough of the constant back pain and no sleep. Can I just put in an order to have this baby early?
