Dont feel too bad for your son, from what I hear he's having fun in that chair! I know my son has been his "pusher" a couple days. And racing isnt fair, that chair always wins!

Oh trust me, not feeling bad for him. LOL. BTW, he doesn't "need" a pusher. I get on the teachers for this as he can do it himself. Cracked me up when they had the disability fair. Apparently, all my kids did awesome in the wheelchair obstacle course. They are used to messing around w/ their brother's chair. X-rays are Nov. 16th. If it's okay, chair goes away...wahoo!!! Walker will be used for quite some time. Bad news is, his prosthetic doesn't fit at all anymore. Takes weeks to make one. Working on a solution. BTW, he can definitely race w/ that thing.

    Take care,

Yep, our boys have been spending a lot of time together by the sounds of it. At the party yesterday it looks like they sit across from each other. I'll apologize in advance if my son teaches yours to do stupid things :jester:, my son says your son is very well behaved and would never get in trouble...mine on the other hand..........:jester:

Actually I have to give him credit, he hasn't gotten in trouble in a long time, thank goodness I think that's behind us!!! Now if I can just get him to turn in his homework on time.

OMG! That's hilarious. My son is ALWAYS doing stupid things. Always. That's his MO around here. LOL. I fear your son may learn stupid behavior from mine. Mine also quotes every movie imaginable. That, and acts it out. Drives us insane. Their favorite is the scene from Star Wars b/c they can "cut" my son's leg off. Lovely. Boys. And that would be why we're only adopting one more boy this go around and 2 more girls. Though, can't say the girls are any better for stupid things. We'll have to get them together one of these days. Would be a riot.

I'd wait about 2 weeks for a flight that long and you still need to get up every hour and walk around, maybe wear a good support hose too. Most patients with a simple meniscal tear are off crutches by day 3 and feeling pretty good. there are some that take a little longer. but if you wait a few weeks before your trip you should be good as new.
