My sis and I went there (Gatlinburg area) last fall. Found a great deal on a cabin on VRBO.com (no cleaning fees, admin fees, etc). Had a horrible parking situation and no dishwasher, but other than that it was great. Leaves were a little late turning, so it wasn't as vibrant as we hoped, but we had a good time.
