I wish we could get a Chik-fil-a or Zaxby's. I think a Chik-fil-a would do incredible business at 40/42, especially since they usually have an indoor playground. The only playground at 40/42 now is at McDonald's and it is outside and small and when my kids were little it was never very clean.
I've seen some health department studies of those playgrounds. No way I'd get in. Between the sneezes, snot, and stuff oozing from diapers, there's enough possibility of picking up a bug I wouldn't want to catch. Yes, I know almost every child that goes in to play is practically free of germs and contagious disease. All it takes is one.
:withstupid: Just kidding!!! So, you had a blonde moment, we all have em! Just yesterday I got into my car, turned on my ipod, which is usually plugged into my car, and I could hardly hear it. I was freaking out thinking my speakers in my car were not working. I checked to make sure my radio was turned up, and it was. I made sure my ipod was turned up, it was. Took me a full 3 minutes to figure out it was still attached to the ear buds from when I worked out the night before at the gym, so that's what I was hearing! Duh! It wasn't even hooked up to my car!
I have too many blonde moments...and I'm a brunette. I'm going blonder next week though. My hair lady is going to hook me up with some lighter highlights.
At the bank today, overheard a lady saying that a mall is going in across White Oak in about 2 years. Anyone else heard that? Oh, and how about a Hooters, their wings are really good!
I heard that a long time ago, back when White Oak was being built. Not since though. Seems like hubby talked to the people who used to own the land or something, and that's what they told him. Like I said, that was years ago. It wouldn't surprise me one day, but can't see it happening anytime soon.
I heard that a year or so ago, but haven't heard anything else about it. Got mixed feelings about that! It's already such a traffic mess there at times.
I heard the mall will come once the Timber Drive extension goes through. Last I heard though they were still waiting for funding for that road project.
Getting back to Walmart.... ...there is a new business listed on the road sign...a Chinese buffet. Raise your hand if you didn't see THAT coming!
