We never knew it was wet, that's the problem.

I was told by Play n Trade that is why the screens should have the protective film over them. These screens can't be replaced like the Gameboys, etc. DS is pretty much unfixable if anything happens to it. Do we love how we go out and spend the money to "upgrade" our children toys for them to brake or mess up and have to buy another one when they will not work. This is why I haven't bought my 7yr old one yet, I have him still playing the Game boy, he only plays the thing about once a month. I did get my 10yr old a DS but he actually wanted the PS2(is that the mini playstation) but I refused since we were going to have to buy all new games as well.

Good luck.......Let us know if you do get it fixed!

We bought my stepson a PSP (playstation portable) for christmas and he hasn't touched it in about 2 months. We paid over $200 for it with some games and it was a big waste of money. He has a PS2 that he plays everyday.

Never had that problem but .... I dropped my cell phone in the swimming pool once. I just took out the battery and laid it and the phone in the sunshine and all was well a few hours later.

I bought my kids' DS at Best Buy and purchased the extended maintenance agreement. If anything happens to it, it's replaced. Doesn't cost much either. Plus, they have a Reward Zone program, basically a frequent buyer program that helps with these costs.
