On the government website navigate to North Carolina then to the different areas of concern such as health care. Both websites are designed to help as much as possible and for those looking for jobs to understand that help is out their.

First make sure to file for unemployment, second get the resume' ready and start applying by using Monster.com or other sites as well as newspapers and job fares. I believe we have a national job fare coming to Raleigh the first of June. I understand that sounds like a lifetime away but get ready for it as it will be big.

Third, make sure you and your family have health care. If not, look through the sites above to see what could be available. Do not neglect your health. Go to your primary doctor and let them know that you have been laid off. Normally they will not charge for some testing, physical items, will give out samples and will send you for other tests or whatnots to other doctors that will do the same. Right now is not the time to neglect health care. As a matter of fact, in my opinion, please take care of your health before all else.
