Last year I remember a sign that said to call a 1800# to check for closings. I am not sure what the number is though. Look through your materials and call a number that is listed. They should be able to tell you.
tried the 800 number, no luck. can't find anything on the website either. Dang it. Anyone think it is a good idea to stay home? WHat do we do about our weigh in's???? I was really looking forward to it, want to know if i am going to lose this week.:cry:
I really don't know what to do. I'm tempted to go over, but if I get all the way over there and nobody is there I'm going to be cranky!! I was looking forward to this week too.:?
Congratulations Frame!!! That is wonderful!! :hurray: I've really been trying today and so far so good. I know a couple of days will not make up for a bad 10 days but I'm gonna try. It killed me with it being Labor Day weekend (camping, beer, lots of food) and my birthday (cake, cake and more cake)....I just couldn't be rude and not partake now could I? Granted I could have eaten just a slice instead of half the cake.......
That's awesome, Frame!!!! Congrats!!!! Wooooo!!!! Does anyone know: Since I missed the meeting this morning, can I go to -any- meeting this week, at any location, to get my weight? What's that little card thing you pick up (filed in alphabetical order by your last name) when you're standing in line to weigh in ... is that necessary to life? I didnt pay attention to what it actually was last week, just picked it up out of the box and gave it back to them when I checked in. Thnx!
Way to go Frame!! I went too, despite my fear that the cake had gone straight to my hips. I'm so glad I did too, because I was down 1.2lbs Go us!!!
Yes you can go to any meeting. The card is what they write your stuff in every week. Just like the little card that you keep up with. They keep track of all your information. I have only gone to another meeting once and they didn't need your big card. Just hand them the little card and they will weigh you and write it down.
Thanks, Sassy! I'll go to a meeting this week to weigh-in. That's so great, Buena, that you lost this week!! Congrats!! To anyone that's like me - likes to heat-and-eat vs cook recipes (I usually only cook once or twice a week) .. .I found a neat site: http://heateatreview.com/2007/01/17/weight-watchers-points/ They have heat-and-eat products seperated by number of Weight Watchers points. Granted, I've never heard of some ... but still ... I did find a few that I didnt expect! Yay!!
Congrats buena!!! :hurray: You ladies are gonna put me to shame this week. But nobody forced me to lift my hand to my mouth all the time. Tomorrow is D Day for me.
Just remember to try to stay positive no matter what the scale says Bren. Half the battle is awareness (at least for me). That's half my journey. Then you use your awareness to make changes. Remember too that you *can* do this. We're all rooting for you.
Aww thanks Buena. My problem is I really haven't been trying all that hard. I just say the heck with it...I'll start tomorrow. But I've really been trying hard for about 3 or 4 days now. I'm afraid it will be too little, too late for tonight though. Speaking of tonight...who is going???
i will be there tonight but I am not looking forward to it. I went to Columbia, SC with my boss for 3 days and honestly I didn't watch what I ate. Heck the company was paying for it. We even had a few drinks I did walk yesterday but I know it won't make up for a couple of bad weeks. I am sort of on track today. I didn't have anything at home to bring for lunch so i made a quick stop at Jersey mikes during lunch. I am not sure of the point value but its better than a greasy hamburger. I am also drinking my water today. I think when I weigh in today, I may cry! Bren, if you see my fall out on the floor, please pick me up, LOL!! :grouphug:
Not sure if you guys know about Hungry Girl or not but I found this is her latest email: Listen up. If you're thinking about joining Weight Watchers this fall, here's a perfect excuse (not that you need an excuse to enroll in the fantabulous WW!). Beginning September 7th (that was yesterday for the calendar-challenged), and continuing all the way until October 18th, the Double W will donate the cost of one pound of food for every pound lost (up to a MILLION DOLLARS) to two fantastic hunger-fighting organizations -- Share Our Strength (its goal is to ensure that no child in America grows up hungry) and Action Against Hunger (helps hungry people around the world). Check out LoseforGood.com NOW to get healthier and help others in need. And go, WW. You guys continue to ROCK! **I remember Stephanie saying something about this in our last meeting. Thats awesome. Check out Hungry Girl at http://www.hungry-girl.com/. I bought her cook book a few weeks ago and it rocks. She sends out emails with new food finds and tells you the point values.
Also, if you're a current member and bring a friend, you get a prize for bringing someone! We talked about the bring a friend thing on Saturday, and then a lot about the Lose For Good Campaign. It's so wonderful that WW is doing this!
Yep! I got a cool WW lunch bag for signing up with a friend. (even though I didn't even know my friend. She was another newbie. The ladies weighing us in asked if we wanted to sign up as friends)
Ok, I'm home....and I'm in shock. I actually LOST 2.8 pounds!! I just knew for sure that I had gained. What a great night. Oh and way to go Sassygurl!!! Remember our bet next week!! I just hope I can manage my end of it.
