    Sat. morning WW

    Hi Everyone
I did weight watchers for a good 8 months and lost 35 pounds. I stopped going because I was able to do the program myself and didn't want to keep paying. I would recommend going to the Saturday morning group. I always seemed to weigh less in the morning than the evening. It gave me more confidence to step on that scale first thing in the morning than after eating and drinking all day!

Bren, I'm gonna take you up on that offer. I've got to do something about my weight or I'm gonna wind up pushing up daisy's. I'll get with you before Monday and we'll do this together. I've done WW 3 times and lost weight all 3 times. My problem has been that after 3 months I usually hit a plateau and give up. BUT, the one time I joined with a friend was my most successful and it's so much easier when you have someone to support you.

I feel better already! Let's do it girl!

Great! I get to meet another 4042er! We'll have to figure out how to find each other and meet.

Avon is going great. I'm gaining new customers every campaign but I've got to stop buying so much for myself. So far I haven't made any money because I've been buying supplies and samples and stuff for me and DD.

I'm excited to begin this new WW journey!

Well I think I am going to try the Saturday morning in Clayton.
I like the idea of getting a jump on the weekend with a little pick me up from some friends, and hopefully a little drop on the scales.
    I'm gonna go Sat. Morning

I have a friend that has been trying to get me to do this, but I am always leary of diets/eating habit changing programs because I am so picky. I don't eat a lot of fruits or vegetables. I like more now that I am older, but I really don't know how to cook them so I usually only eat them when I go out to eat which isn't often. Is WW hard to stick to if you are a picky eater? What is the cost? How long do the meetings last? Are you weighed in front of everyone?

The weigh in 's are private.
It is not very expensive, and I am a picky eater too, it is not hard to follow.
If you look in the frozen food aisle, you will see the Smart Ones boxes, those are weight watchers, it will give you an idea of the kinds of things you can eat.
I have a cookbook from weight watchers and it is FULL of really good food

It is well worth counting a few points, the program shows you how to calculate your points, it is VERY easy.

    See you Saturday Elims!!!:hurray:

Hopefully we will see you too JeepGirl!

    Great Great

I've been doing WW for almost a month and a half, and I really like it. You don't have to starve yourself... you just make good choices regarding food. I'm still able to eat out when friends or significant other want to. It's been great. I go to the one at the Women's Center and I highly recommend it. The leader, Tonia, is absolutely fantastic. I attend Saturday meetings!

Thanks!! I don't eat seafood or lots of fruits or veggies and my friend eats all that stuff so I kind of figured this would not work for me. It is nice to know that this could work for me.

BREN - I just realized that I can't go on Monday night because I have an Avon sales meeting at 6:00 in Raleigh. Can I go the next Monday night with you? Usually our meetings are on Tuesdays but for some reason it's on a Monday this time.

    Sorry!!!

I'm a picky eater too ... I dont do a lot of cooking. We live on heat-and-eats and quick meals and whatever is fast and easy. I dont like all of the 'fancy foods' that you see in a lot of recipes ... and the list would go on and on of all the foods I dont like. *grin*

What I've heard about the WW program, you basically get to choose what you eat - within reason. No "assigned" foods. If you want to eat fruit and veggies, I think you just get to eat more of them than NON-fruitandveggietypefoods.

I'm excited to start learning more and making some changes ...

I'm Carol, btw - and I'll be there Saturday morning looking scared and lost, but smiling! *grin*
