Coming from someone who miscarried way into their second trimester, I say NO to abortion.

I can't vote either. I think that no one knows what they would do until forced to make the decision. I think the options should be there for each individual to make an informed choice. And in the event its needed, receive safe medical care.

<clearning throat, stepping onto soap box.... >
    Here's some things to think about . . .

Can you hold the hand of a friend who's made that ultimate decision and not judge?

Can you be there for someone who's forced to make that decision in the case of an eptopic preganancy and she's in major pain emotionally and physically?

Can you be there when someone who's been raped decides to not have her baby? OR when she decides to have the baby and the horrible incident is not erased by the love of an innocent baby?

Can you console a friend who has tried really hard to have a baby and now too far into her pregnancy realizes that her baby must be taken because things are going horribly and fatally wrong developmentally?

Can you be a foster parent of the 6th special needs child born to a crack addicted mother? For the few months this baby will even live?

From our comfy chairs, can we decide for someone who we don't know and whose situation we have no details about? Oh wait, let's hope she doesn't live in S.D. because now basically those options are gone.

I know there are valid reasons for both sides, but if someone else decides this question for everyone, what's next? What gets decided for everyone next?? That's the part that's scary. Not that suddenly everyone who go crazy and be dropping by the free clinic every few months 'cause its legal. But if medical choices are taken away - what's next? (Hmmmm...maybe I better lay off the caffeine, that sounds kinda paranoid.... ;) ..but seriously...think about it.)

I admit it was that can of worms popping open that attracted me.

My choice was not on the poll, therefore I could not vote.

I am PRO-Choice. My body, my choice.

What South Dakota is doing is unlawful, in my opinion, period.

Well, we will soon discover whether the ultra-conservative agenda is more important to the new justices than the established precedents. If not we have scrapped our legal system in one fell swoop.

Murdering a child is not a medical choice, nor is it healthcare. And that describes the VAST majority of abortions.

It sometimes amazes me how far out on a limb people will go to come up with the most bizarre circumstances to justify ALL abortions.
