There is an Amber Alert this morning from Rocky Mount. A woman left her 2 year old in the car with it running while she went into a convenience store, some man got in her car and took off with the baby inside. Wonder if she thinks that soda or pack of cigarettes was worth her baby's life? It just makes me ill!!

The case of "children" having children possibly? It is still better for the children if they can be kept out of the system and the situation corrected. If there are charges filed the children would have to go into foster care, which can be more of a problem if the parents simply just did not know any better.

On the news they said it was around 1am and she was at the store getting boxes. Sounds like perhaps they were packing to move? That's all they said. I wonder WHY a 2 yr old was out and about at 1am. This is EXACTLY why I don't leave my kids in the car when I run in to pay for gas or get a soda or whatever! My ex thought I was nuts for not just leaving the kids in the car, well this is why!
I pray that this little girl is found unharmed and reunited with her parents. My daughter is the same age, and I cannot imagine what these parents must be going through.

Boxes?? At 1:00 am?? If that is the case, then I feel sorry for her, but I don't quite buy it. That baby should have been in the bed at 1:00 am in my opinion.

This is absolutely breaking my heart. We need to bathe this little girl [IMG] in prayer today!

Oh Lord, I sure hope that we don't find out that her mother was tired of being a mother and conveniently disposed of her precious little girl. I vividly remember being so heartbroken for Susan Smith, only to find out that SHE was the monster who got rid of her children. :(

Absolutely Ready! The child is the innocent victim here. I am praying for her safe return.

I will never forget that either Ready! I CRIED and cried for that woman and wanted to ring her neck when I found out she was the one that did that to those precious children.

I am sitting here listening to my 2 yr old play with her daddy, and I'm getting choked up thinking about the little 2 yr old w/o her mommy or daddy right now. I pray she is alright and is returned safely.

I know what you mean. Terrible things run through my mind about what might be being done to her right now (if she was really taken). What if he keeps her and repeatedly molests her. What if he rapes and kills her. What if he throws her (alive) out in the woods somewhere or dumps her off near a highway and she wonders into the road and then gets hit by a car.
It's almost too much to be able to think about! I've cried for this child and I've prayed and asked God to surround her with protective angels. Ultimately, all we can do is pray (and pray and pray) for her.

Yes! Thank you God! There is going to be a news conference, but I didn't catch when. Oh I am SO happy that she was found. I hope she is alright.

Just read that she was found in VA, and is being treated at a hospital, didn't say why though. Also this story said that the mother ran into the store to ask a question. I've heard three different stories as to why the child was in the car alone. I guess we may never know the truth.

Thank God for that happy ending. Unfortunately, not all turn out so well. I find it amazing that a person must pass a test and demonstrate proficiency at driving a car before getting a license to drive, but just anyone can have a child.
