Fab, If you haven't read anything else by Dan Brown, they're all (4) good! He's probably my favorite contemporary author. I probably liked "Angels and Demons" the prequel to "The DaVinci Code", the best. They are all very good reads. Right now I'm fighting my way through "This Side of Paradise" by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Language and phrases have changed so much since it was written that it's sorta hard to follow sometimes. I'm enjoying the story, it's just not as easy a read as more modern novels. I guess I feel like I ought to expose myself to to somewhat more 'classic' literature once in a while.
I just finished Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult. Her books are all awesome!!! All very thought provoking.
"Digital Fortress" and "Deception Point" were also good. The thing about DB's books is he grabs you in the first few pages, usually someone getting killed in a pretty explicit, unorthodox way. After that they're usually hard to put down! I'm just waiting for him to turn out another one !!!
Just finished Oh My Stars by Lorna Landvik. Very, very good book! I could not put it down. Just started on The Beach House by Jane Green. Anyone read it?
It is very realistic in the treatment and not very "feel" good at any point. It was really good though. The best part is having been to the areas covered makes it seem too real
The chapter on Dan's war is really good ..... http://www.amazon.com/Patriots-Nove...?ie=UTF8&s=digital-text&qid=1248915676&sr=1-1
That is not merely a book that is an absolute must have. I have two copies and kept meaning to order the new one for posterity. Did you know he signed a deal for 2 new novels and a nonfiction?
No, I did not. Some of the book was a bit odd. The gun show guys had nothing really to do with the rest of the book, for example.
