Thats kind of why I was asking... my neighbor started as a TA this year at one of the elementary schools. She was told she wouldn't have to drive a bus this year, but probably next year and she's not thrilled about it. She would have to take the road classes, written & practical test to get her license upgraded (don't know who they expect to pay for that, or if the county does). Is is a CDL license? But really, what if it's someone who can't drive a bus, or pass the test, you're willing to lose what might be a great TA because she can't or isn't able to drive a bus? Thats ludicrous to me. Not to mention, do you really want your children on a vehicle that large and akward to drive, with someone who JUST started driving it. I know everyone has to get experience somewhere, somehow. But, IF I had children, I wouldn't want that to be at the expense of my child.
