i got pregnant the 2nd time while i was on the pill. my mom got pregnant after she had her tubes tied. of course this was after the dr told her she would never have any kids.......guess that makes my daddy bionic too. (ewwww)
Yep.............normally you have messed up taking it if you get pregnant on it. Which is why I am NOT! Not good at remembering to take it, had to try something a bit more foolproof.
Give 'em all the Depo Provera shot for birth control, and then you don't have to worry if they've remembered to take their pill everyday or not. Just one shot every 3 months. Its worked for me for 10+ years.... NO CRUMB-SNATCHERS FOR US... NO SIR-EE!!
Why don't you or DH just get snipped, that way you don't have to worry about it? After my second I got snipped, didn't want any mistakes!
I don't want any surgeries unless I have to... I can't wait till DH reads that you suggested he gets snipped...LOL!!!
Depo has been proven to reduce bone mass...in some cases drastically... so it's not a good idea to give to young women...especially because young women are often very bad about eating right and need additional calcium.
My SIL was on DEPO, had massive blood clots in her lungs and we almost lost her earlier this year. She'll likely be on blood thinners for the rest of her life. Be careful with DEPO!
Not to mention the normal 20 lb weight gain PER YEAR, and depression. Yep, those were some fun times! I think that is one method of BC that may need to come off the market. 8)
OMG girl, as soon as you start bragging about how fool proof your birth control is you will get pregnant, that is just how funny God thinks our sureness is of anything:-D If you and your DH truly do not want any kids, and knowing you both i know you do not, then he should get snipped - it is so much easier on the male - an outpatient thing and he is up and running the next day.
That is what I was thinking to yesterday. But, guess what she didn't leave it alone and talked about it more last night, with my parents as well. Of course my dad had a hard time keeping a straight face as well as myself. But, we anwered her question the best we could for her age. We were honest as well. Since I was brought up the same way from my parents I don't want some stranger telling her, what I should be doing. So we shall see how this goes now. sheri
