He thought of that too. Asked me what I thought. I couldn't imagine doing that to someone at an interview, but I don't think he'd have a problem doing that. He's gone through a lot of women, some good, some really bad.
sounds like i job i would like but unfortunately i don't know qb. i have over 10 yrs management experience and have learned 2 ways of interviewing. is your husband the type to talk the majority of the interview or does he let the person being interviewed talk as he listens? let them do majority of the talking. in my experience it would make them feel as if the must say more and they will. they will purge information and this will let you know about their personality and if you want them working for you. some key questions you may want to ask is 1- why do you want to work here? 2- how will you be a good fit for us and us for you? 3- if you become a part of this team, how will that be beneficial? 4- what type of an employee are you? remember as much as you want a good employee, they also want a good employer. hope this helps and good luck.
If you are still looking for a great employee One of my friends is in need of a job and she is a great employee. She recently relocated to the area and is desperate. She was formerly a controller for a large company, but is having difficulty with the north/south transition I think.:nopity: Anyway-post if you are interested and I'm sure she'll respond!
If you go to any of the local ESC offices, you're going to find either Employment Guide, Job Finder or Carolina Weekly News with Jobs Plus. Actually, I've been looking to change jobs and stopped in at the ESC office the past couple of weeks and those three are the main ones. The websites are employmentguide.com, jobfinderusa.com and carolinaweeklynews.com. Not sure what it cost to advertise in those, but it might help find what you're looking for.
I love the idea of 'putting them to the test'. As a former manager, we had a test the interviewees had to take to weed out the ones who were good vs. boastful. In addition, would you consider job sharing. There are plenty of us stay at home moms who used to work, but now stay at home with our kids. We'd like a little extra spending $, but not commit to a full time position. Job sharing could be split one of two ways...full days several times a week or one works am, the other works pm. Yes, you don't have full control over the situation, but if you get two people who work well together, it may work out wonderfully. Job sharing also helps cover when sick days occur, vacation time, etc. Jan
I can understand where your coming from on your quote, but I have actually hired some very good and dedicated employees through Craig's List. You just need to know the right questions to ask I guess.
I'd like to submit my resume. Please send me email address or snail mail address, whatever he/you prefer. Thanks so much for responding. Ro
