Kroger in Garner sells some in a glass bottle too. YUM!! The chocolate is almost like a milkshake.......................hmmmmmmmmmm. Thinking I need some stuff from Kroger.
funny, I won't drink milk out of a plastic cup, only a glass. (even though it comes home in plastic) I have some sort of phobia about plastic cups and it being a porous material and germs and stuff.
Actually because plastic is not porous, it is more dangerous for food poisoning. The attached article discusses why wood cutting boards are safer than plastic. http://www.buzzle.com/editorials/5-2-2006-95011.asp
some plastics are porous? aren't they? they stain....so doesn't that mean porous? and I am talking like plastic cups that you get at a sporting event ...
Plastics are a pretty amazing thing. There is a lot of engineering that goes into them and the plastic resin can easily go from pennies per pound to $40.00 per pound. But I would think the cheap plastic you are talking about is not very porous. Note: Even Stainless Steel will stain.
I didn't know that. And its good to know. Thanks for clarifying. I still have to have milk in a glass though.
I don't like plain milk, but when I make myself chocolate milk, I have to drink it out of a glass glass, it just tastes better and colder.
Whole Paycheck Foods...:lol: ...that's about right! We do get our milk from there, and salmon on occasion.
Isn't that weird? I will only drink water or juice out of plastic, everything else has to be in glass.
I remember when Tropicana use to sell their orange juice in glass containers. Sometime before the turn of this century i had not seen it any more. OJ from glass bottles also tastes better then from plastic bottles or cartons covered in that waxy material
I have seen OJ in Glass bottles at Lowes Foods. I cannot remember the brand off the top of my head but they are there.
