Yes, there should be evidence of a change. Since I'm not qualified to preach, I'm going to stop right here and suggest that you find a good Bible believing (and teaching) church where you can ask question of those who are qualified. :)

But your handle reads: "ready2cmyKing". How can you reconcile this with your being unable to explain matters of Christ to me? That being the case, how can you be sure you are ready to meet Him? :?
I have believed that all Christians should be able, with a ready answer....Answers being available to you and me by studying to show ourselves approved. If you read your Bible, to know God, we should be as qualified as anyone. So what do you believe the change should evidence? I assume you attend a Bible believing church?

I know I'm ready to see my King because I was born again 10 years ago. I did become a new creation, which is when 2 Corinthians 5:17 became my favorite Scripture, along with this one: Psalm 40:2-3a He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. (NIV)

I was not raised in a Christian home or in church. I went to church with friends some when I was a kid and when I was in Jr High, I got involved in a youth group and was baptized. However, I was not born again at that time because I did not understand what accepting Jesus as LORD and Savior meant. It wasn't until I was an adult and understood my need for a savior and what allowing Him to be Lord of my life meant that I accepted Him. So yes, I am born again and, yes, I know it beyond a shadow of a doubt. ;)

That being said, I have been on this board for - what, nearly 2 1/2 years? - and I have already preached all that I am going to preach on here. It only resulted in me getting angry and frustrated and lashing out (in the flesh) at those who disagreed with me because they could not "hear" what I was trying to say and twisted my words around. And for that I apologize.

That is why anyone who is truly seeking answers should find a good Bible believing church (yes, like I attend) and should talk with a pastor, deacon, Sunday school teacher... someone who is qualified... in person. I'm not trying to be difficult, but I find it better if I just keep my mouth shut when it comes to talking about my faith and beliefs on here. Hope you understand. :)

Don't quit yet. I well know your frustrations. If you don't go circular on me I promise we can have some good discussions. Of course, I am assuming you love the Lord as I do? My knowledge of the lord goes 65 yrs back with maturity in Him finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. I continue to press on for the prize, I trust you are as well. :)

LOL!! I thought you might be a brother/sister(?) who was "testing the waters." Welcome aboard! I'm still gonna leave the preaching to those who are better qualified than I am... may I pass the torch to you? ;)

Are you implying that the 667 people who made personal professions of faith at c3 last year are really going to hell?

I can answer. I got banned but it was temporary. Like suspension or a warning type thing. It would not let me in for a few days. It is all good.

When it comes to church. To each his/her own. If you are happy there, don't defend it. You shouldn't have to.

I don't condone any church that follows God. I stay out of this because I dont have the heart to tell someone the church that they attend isnt the right way to or not to believe.

Like I said Baptist, Methodist, Southern Baptist, Catholic, or C3. Go for it, I can not judge.

My mother started going to "new song" in New Bern. They put on plays, drink coffee during church, wear comfortable clothes, play loud music, and she loves it. How can someone say this isn't right. If that is what makes her happy, go for it. I have enjoyed it when I visit with her. Churches are keeping up with the times. People want this. It was very interesting.

I grew up strict catholic and it is all sit, kneel, stand, sit, kneel, stand. Sing, give money, meet the preacher and leave. I did not enjoy that as a a child and do not enjoy that as an adult. I can recite the whole thing for you. WORD FOR WORD.

I like these new churches. Just open your mind a little.

That is all I need to say. Carry on..............
Ormly, I believe there is only one that can tell if you are going to heaven or hell. Your views mean nothing to me because you are not the one who decides that. Look above, he is the only one.

Is happiness what it is to be about? I mean, if I am happy then it must be good? Suppose I am happy and the person sitting next to me isn't, is it still good?

You don't?? What church do you condone? Also can it even be called a church if it doesn't "follow God"?

I gather that what you really mean to say is that you don't know enough about God to make a discision about what church should be about?

Like I stated, you cannot judge because you do not know.

1Cor. 2.15 (KJV) But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Real reverance for God in His sanctuary, to be sure. I can only imagine what the sermon must be like.............!!!!!!"GO PANTHERS--GO HURRICANES"!!!!!!

Ekankar tells you to do that, too. How open should one's mind be? Should one let just anything in or should one becareful what he takes in to his thinking? Sorry, but I believe the latter.

Yes, I know. You are your own god. No one is going to tell you anything; that comes across loud and clear.

I have and He has seen my face. He sees what I represent in Him. When you look above, what does He see?

    :)rm

No, I don't mean to say that at all. However, can you tell me what they were saved into? Or, to ask another way: What were they saved unto, programs to make one a better person and perhaps change the world through more programs, or unto a process of becoming a son-of-God, brought into glory by the transforming power of the Holy Ghost and the indwelling of the Life of Christ? If the latter is the case then I would say not many would find their way to the alter. Indeed, the church would be near empty.

Jesus said: "If you had anything in common with the world, the world would love you as one of its own. But you don't have anything in common with the world. I chose you from the world, and that's why the world hates you."

Doesn't seem the world hates you very much.

You know she meant "condemn". You might want to consult a spell checker before you correct other people's posts.
    discision (decision?)
    reverance (reverence?)

Are sure about that? Words mean something. How the rest of her post read, I wouldn't be so sure.

    Re: Descision-decision

Are you a journalist judge that I should be concened about or just nitpicky because you don't like what I am writing? Either way, considering this forum, you are being small. However, thanks and I'll try harder to improve,............ at my age, don't expect much.
