A power fluctuation won't necessarily reset the clocks, but it might affact the alarms. Not questioning, just a thought. Your hubby didn't hear the alarm(s)? Not saying anyone died there. However, sometimes ghosts of previous inhabitants reappear, even though they died elsewhere. It seems a matter of familiarity or like a favorite place for them. This is not to say all spirits are associated with a particular place. That's just what I see as most likely. There are "nomad" spirits which seem to travel from place to place spending time at one place or another as they see fit. You want to test something? Try this (it may or may not work): Put a large notepad (preferably a legal pad) and a crayon in the room where you hear most of the activity tonight. Write on the pad something like, "Can I help you?" or "Who are you?". Leave the pad until morning and then see if the spirit answered. It would seem that, if what you're experiencing is a poltergeist, then it can affect the temporal world and can write. I suggest a crayon since pencil leads can break and pens can run out of ink. Note: don't take the answer as being true or factual. The spirit may be trying to mess with you. All you're looking for is the start of a communication. Let me know if anything happens.
You need to get a hold of the Italian Horsey Dude. Do you have a tape recorder? Or a micro cassette recorder or digital recorder or anything of the like? You can turn it on over night, see if it picks up anything ... noises, sounds, whispers ... An EMF meter would help you find power fluctuations around the house ...
While any of the recording devices may or may not work (I'd prefer a camera myself), the EMF meter is the one thing that is most bogus. The average house has so many sources of EMF that it's virtually worthless. I cringe every time I see one of those "ghost hunter" shows where they use them.
No way! I never had any problems until I got tangled up with him!! It probably came with Ziggy.
I always understood it that you were looking for power current to discount the presence of anything 'supernatural' ... looking for the presence of something physical, a valid electrical pulse. I can take one around my house and my fish tank emits a LARGE amount of current, so I would automatically be suspicious AGAINST the root cause being anything spirit related - if something were to happen in that area. But I use ghost tracking equipment from a skeptical point of view. Dont get me started on most 'orbs'.
My hubby sleeps through the alarm alot of mornings, too. I'll do the tape recorder thing, but I don't think I want to start playng pen pals. I could also get the camera out.
On Ghosthunters, they always cut the power to the house, don't they? Or at least turn off most everything - esp large appliances. Anyways, what do you think of these Orbs?
Unfortunately the company I work for blocks some images (including the one you posted). Not sure why they block some, but not all. At any rate, I took several pictures in a cemetary a few months ago and caught several images of orbs. After posting them here, someone showed me a link where a logical explanation for the orbs was presented (dust speck illuminated by the camera's flash). I took some more pics the next weekend, including some using the flash and some without the flash. The orbs only appeared in the pics with a flash, so I am satisfied that the orbs are not proof. I'm not saying that the "logical" explanation is the only or even correct explanation. But it seems likely and makes me think that taking pictures of orbs is a red herring.
Cleo - I'd like to see how my allergies would have reacted when that picture was taken. I lean towards the theory that orbs are actually specks of dirt and dust and pollen and other tiny things that you dont see in normal daylight, or with the naked eye. I've never found proof that a spirit would travel around in a small spherical fleck of light.
Speaking of static, have you ever walked in out of the cold, dragged your feet across the floor, and touched the cat on the nose?
