I've had both good and bad experiences at JMH as a patient. They found a problem that Wake-Med said was just "anxiety." At JMH, they did a CT scan and ultrasound on the area that was hurting and sent me straight to surgery. Two weeks prior, the wake med hospital (where I forced my husband to drive me to) gave me a shot of ativan and said "You are just fine. It's just anxiety." I was only anxious cause I was hurting so badly that I couldn't function.

two years later and no gall bladder, I no longer have unexplained pains in my stomach. I wound up back there with problems related to the surgery .. ;) BUT they treated me excellent while I was there AND did all the necessary scans to ensure that I had no further problems. The ONLY thing they could have done to prevent the problems was send me home on antibiotics. I wound up having an infection b/c of the surgery itself. I think I would have had the infection regardless of where the surgery was because I had a reaction to the stitches and glue.
