If there has been a history of these problems with these game consoles then Microsoft should repair the game console at no cost to you. I have a Canon Digital camera that was defective and I was not even the original owner of the camera and when it started going nuts on us I researched the model # and found out that other owners of these cameras were having the same issue, so I sent an e-mail to Canon and they repaired the camera for us for free. It works like new now!!!!!
Good news for a change. It is still under warranty, Microsoft is sending a shipping box. :hurray::hurray::hurray:
Suuweet! Now if your boys can manage to not slip into a deep depression while it's being repaired, you'll be alright!
The warranty for the Red Ring of Death and the E74 error (becoming more and more common) is three years from purchase. All other repairs fall under the one year warranty. I have two Xbox 360's (one for me and one for the wife) and had to ship both of them back due to the RROD. Inconvenience aside, I still would not trade my 360 for another console. IMO, the exclusive games and much better online experience are second to none for adult console gamers.
Well, it just showed up at my house. Haven't plugged it in yet, but I am sure my son will be thrilled.
Hey, a week of that was US! I didn't have time to drop it off at the UPS store. They sent it back to us about 24 hours after they got it. I need to make sure it works though, but I was too busy playing with the new GPS DH got me for Mother's Day. Nothing says love like electronics! :jester: He hacked his GPS and got it to do text to speech for FREE, and he's going to so the same with this one. My old GPS couldn't be hacked, unfortunately.
