Is it possible to also display the date (next to the clock) on the Windows XP taskbar? If so, how?

I know sliding your mouse pointer over the clock will show the date, but I want to display it permanently without pointing to it.

    Thanks.

Actually, it is pretty easy in XP but what it requires is that your make your task bar taller.

    • - right click on the task bar, if the "lock the Taskbar " is checked, uncheck it
      - Slowly hover your mouse near the top of your task bar until the cursor changes to a two ended arrow
      - Left click down and drag your task bar until it is 2x's as high and your date should automatically show up.

BTW, if you don't have XP. this won't work w/o some additional software.
