Yahoo Messenger/Vista

Is there a conflict? I was able to dl it, but it has not worked for me. When I try to start the app, I get a windows message saying it has quit working and is shutting down.

 

Mine did that same thing , Not sure if there's a conflict or not but i know when i installed yahoo messenger , It was the same way .

Hopefully one of our computer people on here will know what to do

 

I believe there is a yahoo messenger for vista. I use it. It's not always that stable, but I can use it to chat with my friends.

 

make sure this is the Yahoo Messanger you loaded. You may have the XP or the Beta version.

I use Trillian IM. It does all the instant messengers in one neat little package.

 

I have been using the 9.0 version with vista and haven't had any issues yet. Used the same version on my other laptop that has xp on it.
