you can leave girl, and thats not abandonment. Especially if he is mistreating animals and you have contacted the local sheriff, you can leave. Leave.
Harbor House would be an excellent place to call just for advice and I think KDs has already given you the telephone number. Not real sure if I would have Posted this but it is done now. If you are afraid of him you should read some great books and remember how strong of a person you really are and never back down, if you are correct. Don't know both sides so that's about all I can say. Sherry
Goldie If your neighbor saw this, how could he(husband) get his hands on them to haul them off somewhere, just curious The storm scared them and they're hiding out somewhere close, so don't worry to much, they'll come out when they get hungry
I am praying for you and your kitties honey. Hang tight, it will all work out. If you are scared however, like Kell said, leave honey.
no no no, you got it wrong... saturday my neighbor saw him chasing out the cats before the thunderstorm, and he left for work. my neighbor went immediatly into the house and left them in again.... but yesterday, I left the house with the cats inside! and when I came home they have gone both, only the one, he likes was in the house locked, and exactly this one takes any chance to leave the house if he can. the others are to scared and would be only around the house. So, for sure, they have been removed from inside of the house.
Absolutely! You act almost like you feel inferior to him and you're not. That is your legal residence and you have just as much right to it and everything in it as he does. Get a restraining order NOW, and he had better stay away!
I would be happy if I could get one, but the truth is, I tried to get one month ago, when he treatened me on the phone, but, when I went to the magistrate, the guy there ask me, if he tuched me, an when I said no, he said... oh well, mam, then I cant help you....... so, even now, they will ask the same, and maybe even laugh at me, when I tell them about the cats...
You don't have to wait until he physically attacks you. If you are in reasonable fear for your safety, they should give you a restraining order. If the magistrate refuses, ask to talk to his or her supervisor.
Goldie - You need to get your restraining order from JANICE of SafeHarbor. She is the court advocate. Go to the courthouse tomorrow, ask for her and tell them you need a restraing order ASAP. Don't GO TO the magistrate...... If Janice isn't there, someone else will help you fill out the paper work and they should put you in front of the judge tomorrow. You should get an exparte (emergency) restraining order. I'm surprised that the magistrate just laughed at you and didn't tell you this. Go FIRST THING IN THE MORNING and REPORT BACK TO US!!!
Didn't I see an episode of Lavern & Shirly like that? They ended up painting a line down the middle of their apartment, didn't they?
He'll just have to leave. I also suggest visiting your lawyer and getting a "divorce from bed and board". http://www.rosen.com/ppf/law/Rosen Law/rosen/858/index.asp
My sister went down this road and you need to take the above quoted advice. that is exactly how it works. Woman Up! Protect Yourself! Don't let no frickin man treat you like this!
You guys are so awesome with your advice her. And you are completely correct. If you are scared of this man, you need to get a restraining order immediately. If the magistrate is too lame to help you, then contact the lady at Safe Harbor. Don't stay there, and think you'll be okay. I hope the cats are okay and they come back safely.
